If you have read Mattie’s Bridal Photo blog post, then you know this was a special wedding for me.
I first met Matt at their engagement photos last September and I knew from that moment this was going to be a fun wedding. The two of them together are quite a pair giving each other a hard time for most of the day. So, it was really no surprise when Matt turned around at their “first look” and instantly Mattie said “Why in the world is your bout like that?” And, Matt’s response was a mere “It is good to see you too!”
Most first looks make me tear up a little, but this one had me tearing up from laughter! It was a first look that I will never forget. I laughed the whole time I was editing the images from that part of their day.
Sidenote: The rest of their day was very sweet and Matt had the best response to any questions asked of him “Whatever Mattie wants.” (Now that is a good man! ;))
My personal favorite part of the wedding day was the dances. Mattie shared a special dance with each of her grandpa’s that easily brought me to tears and to many others watching the moment.
I am grateful for a wonderful group of Texas vendors that invited us in and was so helpful during the day! If you are ever in the Longview area, I highly suggest checking out Enoch’s Stomp Winery. The food was wonderful and the views are spectacular!
