Earlier this year I met the Brawner family on campus to take senior photos. Brett was graduating with his bachelors degree and Brenna was graduating from vet school. After we did senior photos for each of them, we also did photos of Brenna and her boyfriend, Jason.
At the end of the session, Holly (Brenna’s mom) secretly said to me if these two get engaged this fall we will be calling you… and I have been anxiety awaiting the call since then because when I say this family is fun I mean it!
Fast forward to a few weeks ago, Holly texted me and said it is time and to be in front of Outlaws on October 30th! The couple had met at Outlaws about 7 years ago, so it was a special place to them!
But, when we arrived Outlaws was closed, so in the words of one of their friends… they called an audible and we headed to the Copper Penny to wait for the couple.
After waiting for a few minutes and rearranging the patio furniture several times, they arrived and I was slightly panicking because I there were a lot of ways he could come out of the bar to the patio to do this thing.
Their family and friends were hiding in the corner of the patio and I was standing at the table of these super nice strangers making small talk while they got a drink. And, before too long Jason bolted out of the bar onto the patio and yelled “Will you marry me?” at the top of his lungs.
And, she said yes obviously!
Congratulations, Brenna and Jason! And, thank you to her friends and family for making me feel welcomed and for all the laughs!
